The Restaurant at The Woods Lodge offers gourmet comfort food in a casual atmosphere, and The Tavern serves up wine, beer and mixed drinks in a rustic hideaway. When you sit and dine in what was once the mess hall of a typical Vermont summer camp, the recently updated dining room with its cozy gas fire and relaxing sitting area, you feel like you're in the great-room of a friend's Green Mountain home. When you're in the Tavern, the deep teal walls, large stone fireplace and re-purposed barnboard paneling create a warmth and coziness akin to that of a classic hunting lodge. Truly a family business, the restaurant is owned and run by Lisa and Jonathan Burr, who share the cooking responsibilities, and on any given night, one of their two children or their friends will be seating you or taking your order, and Jonathan's brother Gregg or his wife, Lynn, will be tending bar.
